People with MS probably welcome any convenience food, and bagged, so-called "ready-to-eat" (=prerinsed) salad greens are certainly appealing as a shortcut.

I've used them many times but I have noticed how fast they deteriorate--and how very ugly they are when they start to get slimy.  I've found it hard to believe that they were ready to use without extra rinsing.

And there have been many news stories in recent years about food poisoning cases resulting from eating these salad greens.

According to this article in Berkeley Wellness (April 9), they do need extra rinsing.
