The June 29 issue of JAMA contains a "Viewpoint" article by doctors affiliated with Johns Hopkins University favoring extending Medicare coverage to include dental, hearing and vision care and making the point that many Medicare recipients do without dental care, hearing aids, and eye exams because of the cost.

This may be particularly true for persons with MS on Medicare as a chronic illness like MS tends to reduce a person's financial resources. As time goes by, there is less and less money available for dentists, hearing aids, eye doctors and glasses.
