Finding that lesions in the CNS were responsible for MS was surely a breakthrough, and as time went on the experts counted the lesions, determined whether they were lighting up, and worried about whether they were multiplying over time. They also concern themselves with whether they are slowly expanding in SPMS.

SPMS, diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2007-2010. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate 40mg 3 times/week) since 12/16/20.
