A study was done because researchers wanted to know if COVID-19 has had an emotional impact on people with progressive MS. The study showed that it hasn't.  I can hazard a guess about why that should be. People with progressive MS may have already become used to social isolation because they've been limited by their MS, and so COVID-19 restrictions don't strike them as a difficult adjustment.
