From reading many posts on MS boards over the years, I've noticed that people not in the larger metropolitan areas have a much harder time getting to a neurologist.  They often travel 60 miles or more, sometimes having to stay overnight somewhere because the trip is so long.


This abstract, "Projecting the adequacy of the multiple sclerosis neurologist workforce" (from PubMed, March 7, 2018), indicates that this is a real problem and that it might get worse in the future:
