In reaching for anything I find that if I watch my hand traveling on its way to its target, I'm far less apt to have tip things over. This study discusses this phenomenon--from PubMed (January 22, 2022), "Assessing visually guided reaching in people with multiple sclerosis with and without self-reported upper limb impairment":
