MS Speaks

Reading posts on MS boards for many years, I've become aware that one very common source of irritation is the length of time it often takes before MS is finally diagnosed. This news story, from the August 22 Denver Post, involving lawsuits against a doctor in Colorado who misdiagnosed MS in a couple of people, treating them for MS for 8 years, might help to explain why a diagnosis often takes such a long time:

--And this apparently is no fly-by-night doctor. Dr. Gary M. Weiss is a board-certified neurologist, trained at Northwestern University and listing himself as having special expertise in MS. On a couple of doctor-rating Websites he has a 4-star rating (5 being the highest rating), with favorable reviews by several patients. He appears to be licensed to practice both in Colorado and Florida.
