Ideal room temperature for productivity being debated

According to this in BBC News (June 20), there are ongoing debates about the best room temperature for workplaces. I'm in dental clinics and doctors' offices and at the optician's and the podiatrist's and the special-shoe store and in recent years have noted how cold these places are in winter. It's as if their heat is broken. I haven't actually measured it but my guess is that it's around 60'F. I sit bundled up in my warmest clothes, waiting, sometimes for a couple of hours, for a medical provider who is delayed or for a return ride home.

For people with arthritis, the cold can be miserable. Even for people with MS, who typically prefer a cooler environment, too much cold can be bone-chilling.
