Conflicts of interest often unreported in published research

We in the US may be the most heavily medicated people on earth, and the pharmaceutical industry is vast--and highly profitable.  The question keeps coming up: Just how much are prescribing health-care providers influenced by Big Pharma, with its barrage of advertising and promotional tactics?


There is yet another article on this topic--the New England Journal of Medicine's Journal Watch  (December 10, 2018) reporting on a New York Times article--"Conflicts of Interest Too Often Go Unreported in Published Research":
