The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King wasn't known to be a Republican, but the Multnomah County (that's my county in Oregon) GOP thought it would be a good idea to announce the raffle winner for an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle at a banquet in honor of both Lincoln and King on February 15. Except that the Greek Orthodox church where the event was scheduled backed out:
