From The Lancet (November 25, 2023), summary of "CAR T-cell therapy in autoimmune diseases":

https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lancet/article/PIIS0140-6736(23)01126-1/fulltext?dgcid=raven_jbs_etoc_email

The summary, right after listing MS as one of the autoimmune diseases, contains this statement:

Quote
B-cell-depleting monoclonal antibodies, such as rituximab, have poor therapeutic efficacy in autoimmune diseases, mainly due to the persistence of autoreactive B cells in lymphatic organs and inflamed tissues.

Rituximab (Rituxan) has "poor therapeutic efficacy in autoimmune diseases"? This is a drug that many with MS are taking and apparently have been assured that it is effective....
