There have been many warnings against going for stem-cell treatments that aren't quite the real thing. It's hard to know how real this latest development is, but the Magenta organization seems to have collected a substantial sum--and is claiming to have some vague connection with Stanford University, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Harvard University.
