Title: Patients recording medical encounters?

People with MS often have cognitive and memory problems, possibly hearing and vision problems as well. It may be difficult to remember just what was said during a medical appointment, and so we are often advised to take someone with us as a second pair of eyes and ears. If we can't do that, we might be able to record medical encounters, though it depends on the law in the state we live in, according to this article in JAMA, July 10:
