It's been well established by now that the US handled the COVID pandemic in an astonishingly mediocre way. Or maybe not so astonishingly to those who had watched our crumbling medical care system over the years.

This article by a doctor who was trying to practice medicine during the pandemic gives some idea of just how stretched the medical care provisions and resources have been since the arrival of COVID-19.

It isn't a pretty picture.
