There seems to be a dearth of information about just how those children detained at the US/Mexico border are faring. But it has come to light that those separated from their parents and now regarded as "unaccompanied minors" have been given antipsychotic drugs (though some were told they were getting vitamins) in an attempt to control their behavior. There is a lawsuit about it--as disclosed by Reveal (June 20):
