JAMA devotes special issue to gun violence
« on: September 28, 2022, 09:27:21 pm »
The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) has devoted an entire issue to gun violence in the US. MedPage Today (September 27. 2022) gives a rundown on the articles included in the issue--"JAMA Devotes Special Issue to Gun Violence":

Now that JAMA has weighed in with an entire issue on gun violence, I don't expect much to change. Yes, gun violence is and should be a medical issue. But the time has come for less talk and more action, less gathering of statistics (the facts are definitely in and have been in for a long time) and more real change that will result in a reduction in the number of firearms in circulation.
