Mail-order rx delivery and Medicare

Picking up prescriptions at a pharmacy isn't easy for someone with MS mobility problems. For years I've been on the lookout for local pharmacies that deliver--my method of choice. There is a list of pros and cons of mail-order rx delivery in the article below, and one of the cons seems pretty important to me, namely:

Delivery delays. Prescriptions can sometimes take up to 14 days to be delivered. A person may need to collect the first 2 weeks of their prescription from a local pharmacy.
