Overtreatment is common, doctors say (NY Times)
« on: October 01, 2017, 04:27:04 pm »
It can be comforting to have medical attention. It is attention, after all, and it's coming from trained personnel. But sometimes medical treatments and procedures don't need to be done, and it's up to us as patients to ask the right questions and sometimes say No to a doctor's recommendation.

From the New York Times, September 6, 2017:

"Overtreatment is common, doctors say" by Nicholas Bakalar
MS Speaks--online for 17 years

SPMS, diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2007-2010. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate 40mg 3 times/week) since 12/16/20.
