Possible way to avoid treating UTIs with antibiotics

UTIs can be very bad news for people with MS but thanks to antibiotics they probably aren't nearly as much of a problem as they were years ago. However, the risks of overusing antibiotics are becoming clear, and researchers are trying to find alternatives.


An article in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences presents a case for targeting cellulose instead of the bacteria responsible for a urinary tract infection.
