Red meat, poultry tried to increased cardiovascular disease risk

I don't beat the drum for any particular type of diet but so much unfavorable evidence is coming in about red meat that a person might want to think seriously about going easy on it.
This study from JAMA (February 3) is fairly significant. Here is the abstract, "Associations of processed red meat, poultry or fish intake with incident cardiovascular disease and all-cause mortality":
