Telehealth--a new kind of house call
« on: March 20, 2016, 11:39:12 am »
The Spring 2016 issue of Momentum magazine, a publication of the National MS Society, contains an article by Maureen Salamon, "A new kind of house calls" (pages 26-29 in the print edition). It describes situations where someone with MS and mobility problems created by a neurologist who is too far away or just mobility problems created by MS can have access to that doctor via telemedicine (or telehealth).

This technology is young and there are problems that need to be ironed out but it looks very promising. The article is available here.
