Which home medical tests to trust?

As someone with miserable experiences with UTIs, I keep a UTI home test kit on hand at all times. This article, "Home Medical Tests: Which Can You Trust?" in the Berkeley Wellness Letter (May 4), indicates that it is still considered a reliable test:
