Simvastatin, one of the statin drugs, is being tried in SPMS. From Multiple Sclerosis News Today, September 14, 2018--"Phase 3 trial to test simvastatin in slowing SPMS progression at sites across UK":

SPMS, diagnosed 1980. Avonex 2001-2004. Copaxone 2007-2010. Glatopa (glatiramer acetate 40mg 3 times/week) since 12/16/20.
